My name is John Cavill and I am a gardener from North Lincolnshire in the UK. I have been lucky enough to work all around the world on lots of different landscape projects, some I have designed and some designed by others.
Quite often customers would say to me they have no idea what plants to put where and how to fill some of their garden areas, so I made cards with the most robust plants on them that I knew and would show them to the customer. Very shortly I found I was offering garden borders to lots of customers and also new customers too.
So late in 2012 I decided to make lots of different border themes then look for a partner nursery who could post the plants out for me so I could sell them online. I designed and build (with the help of Decol Construction www.decol.co.uk) a wedding venue area at Laceby Manor Golf Club in Lincolnshire and from the owner Roger Burnett I was introduced to Crowders Nursery in Horncastle.
Crowders Nursery have been posting plants out for a few years and have developed their very own triangle boxes for plants that fit together and is a really robust way to post plants, and working with the MD of Crowders Simon Ellis, Simply Borders was born!
Presently I have Cottage, Bee & Butterfly, Evergreen and one Premier border priced and ready to go, and I have plans for a wish upon a star collection with a donation to sick children, and maybe even a show garden in 2013 at BBC Gardeners World Live. I have a great Facebook page and a website
